TROUBLESHOOTING THE HYPERCYL CYLINDER

Cylinder will not Extend SOLUTION

Air is not turned on                                                                  Open air valve

Sideloading of rod                                                                   Realign cylinder or tooling

Cylinder is low on oil (low oil pin extended)                       Refill using HyperCyl HFP1 or HFP2 fill unit

High Pressure rod is extended                                             Retract HP (B2 port)

Flow control is fully closed (where applicable)                  Open flow control to desired stroke speed

Cylinder will not Retract

Extreme sideloading of rod                                                    Realign cylinder or tooling, loose mounting bolts

High Pressure rod extended/ stuck                                      Retract (B2) Contact Factory for more info.

Cylinder Slow to Extend/Retract

Low air pressure setting                                                        Increase main FRL PSI AND VALVE STACK PSI

Insufficient air supply                                                              Shop air must be 35-40 PSI minimum

Undersized tubing                                                                  Tubing should match size of NPT ports (ie. 3/8 NPT, 3/8 Tube)

Flow Control problems (where applicable)                       Open flow control to desired stroke speed

Cylinder will not Sequence into High Pressure

Incorrect air line installation                                                Check cylinder manual for proper installation procedure

Incomplete PLC programming                                           Adjust as necessary

Defective air valve                                                                  Replace as necessary

Defective pressure switch                                                    Replace as necessary

Cylinder Requires Frequent Refilling

Worn/bad seals                                                                    Return to factory for rebuild

Insufficient timing of cylinder retract                                  Refer to cylinder manual for proper timing
